Sugar Free February

If we look back, it probably started with Movember. A whole month dedicated to growing facial hair, and a catchy name too – look how all it took was a single letter change. It did wonders for the fight against Prostate Cancer.

Many other causes are now trying to ape this success, and they know a catchy name is essential. Step forward Dryanuary (no booze). Nice try. But I think Stoptober (no smoking) has to be closer to the mark.

So there’s a missing “thing” for February. Until now. Say hello to ‘Sugar Free February’ from Cancer Research UK.

Some companies are getting on board with it – take a look at a tip list for Sugar Free February written by the people at Beagle Proactive who are jumping fully on board.

But, to be fair, it’s not exactly a ‘household name’ just yet. I don’t think it ever will be. The UK is so addicted to sugar it’s a scandal.
